Join fellow community organizers, activists, groups and neighbourhood participants to discuss we can do to achieve a stronger and more united movement for Climate Justice in Toronto.

This June, in advance of the G20, Toronto held its first People’s Assembly in community response to the climate crisis. Now on December 4th, 2010, we will gather again for the second Toronto People’s Assembly on Climate Justice.

Using a horizontal process, the People’s Assembly continues the tradition of grassroots communities using collective principles to organize and empower themselves in order to transform the society they live in.

The December 4th Assembly is happening as part of a Global Day of Action initiated by Global Climate Campaign, and is in solidarity with La Via Campesina‘s call for 1000 Cancuns as well as the national call by Council of Canadians for People’s Assemblies across Canada.
