Environment Week

EcoFest is a month-long series of events that discuss current environmental issues and ways to engage in environmental action. Events range from panel discussions, movie screenings, gardening workshops, a clubs fair, and much more!

Events are organized by many student groups on campus and external organizations:

  • Multi-Faith Centre Environment Intern Program
  • Toronto Undergraduate Society (TUGS)
  • UofT B.E.E.S.
  • Harvest Noon
  • BikeChain
  • The School of the Environment
  • Victoria University Students’ Advisory Council – Sustainability Committee
  • Climate Impact Network
  • UofT Veg Club
  • UofT Entomophagy/Bug Bites
  • Ontario Water Association – UofT Chapter
  • Toronto Green Drinks
  • Centre for Ethics

Coordination of promotion and planning is led by UTERN’s Environment Month Coordinator and Webmaster, the University of Toronto Students’ Union (UTSU) Sustainability Commissioner, and the EcoFest Planning Commitee. UTERN and the UTSU would like to thank the EcoFest Planning Committee and all the affiliated student groups for all their hard work in planning and organizing events for EcoFest 2015.

A series of interesting events will be taking place to discuss current environmental issues, sustainable living, and greening efforts on a macro or micro level. The goal is to share with students what society and stakeholders can do to tackle those issues, and how.
