It was inspiring to see the interest and effort everyone showed throughout elections. We hope that continues throughout next year and in the years to come!

Note that the deadline to submit candidacy statements has been extended to Wednesday March 18 due to the strike and additional interest. If you have been thinking of applying – just do it! Voting will still take place online at voting.utoronto.ca from March 24-26 and we will still be publishing the preliminary list of candidates this weekend as originally planned.

The preliminary list of candidates and statements has been published! The final list will be published after the extended deadline on March 18. Candidates may campaign until the first day of elections on March 24.

UTERN is the University of Toronto’s Environmental Resource Network, an umbrella organization that serves as the meeting point for everyone in the university community concerned about the health of our environment. With the 50-cent levy it receives from all University of Toronto undergraduate and graduate students, UTERN funds innovative and community-focused environmental events and initiatives on all three UofT campuses.

For the 2015-2016 academic year, UTERN is looking for:

All students covered by the UTERN levy are eligible to run for a position. If you are interested, please submit your candidacy statement to [email protected]. Include your name, position you are running for, and a short blurb about yourself (max. 200 words) – your qualifications, goals, vision for the position if elected, etc. Be creative! Successful candidates will be compensated for their work under the University of Toronto Work-Study Program.
