The best way to get involved with UTERN is to become an executive member!
UTERN usually hosts Executive Elections during the final week of March and By Elections in September. View a description for each of the available positions here: Modified Description of Positions. Executive roles can be eligible for work study dependent on funding.
The next election/by election begins on September 16-22, 2019 with voting between September 24th-25th (11:59pm).
The available positions for this by-election are: Treasurer, External Executive Liaison, Outreach Coordinator, Direction of Technology, UTM Representative, GSU Representative.
Candidates are free to begin campaigning once they have prepared a statement of approx. 250 words indicating why they’d be the best fit for a particular role on the UTERN team. The statement should contain: your name, the position you’re interested in, your current program of study, year and why you think you’d thrive as part of the UTERN executive team.
This statement must be emailed to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and will be published here on our website, facebook page (facebook.com/uoftern), used as part of the online polling system, and attached to our e-newsletter to keep students informed about their future UTERN representatives.
